32 Week Meek

The 8th month has arrived and along with it, continued progress...

Dad made some fantastic shelves with hanging space for our closet-less baby nook and we're prepared with one girl onesie and one boy onesie to come home from the hospital with! (We're anxious to find out which one we'll ultimately need!)

Along with the baby nook progress is my belly progress...8 more weeks +/- to grow! (yeeeesh)

31 Week Meek

31 week belly

Getting bigger by the day! Comfort level has officially started to deteriorate...did I mention there are 64 days left to go? Mini-Meek must be stretching out - I can't breathe and I've got a foot in my ribs most of the time. But, getting excited for the big day - can't believe we're into the end of May already!

We'll be taking "Baby Care Basics" class tonight at the hospital. Hopefully we pass ;)

30 Week Meek

Routine 30-week check up today with Dr. Simmons. All the standard stuff is well (blood pressure, weight, baby heart beat, measurements...etc). We're officially done going to Maternal Fetal Medicine (cause everything is looking so good!), so all doctor visits from here on out should just be to WHCA. :) Yay!

I'm already starting to gather things to pack in "the bag" (freakish planner, I know)...hard to believe we have 10 weeks or less to go!

29.5 Week Meek (& Grandmother's Day 2009!)

We had a lovely Mother's Day with Grandma-to-be Fitzpatrick and Grandma-to-be Meek!

28.5 Week Meek

Monday morning ultrasound with Dr. McCulloch at Maternal Fetal Medicine. (I just scanned in our "pictures" and honestly, I can't tell you what's what, and I'm the Mommy, so I'll spare you all the black and white blotches.) Baby has already "assumed the position" head down and facing back - which made any profile or face shots during the ultrasound darn near impossible.

Baby's weight is estimated at 2lbs 7 0z. (Hmm...not 15lbs like I thought ;) And we're measuring (baby parts and uterus) all within a week of where we should be. All and all a nice, uneventful trip to Maternal Fetal Medicine - and hopefully we're done there!

I also passed my glucose test with flying colors. Hooray!

Mom & Dad take Mini-Meek (in spirit of course) to first Cubs game 05.02.09 Cubs Win!

28 Week Meek

Hooray for the 3rd Trimester!

Just a little under 3 months to go (or 84 days...not that we're counting)!

Mini-Meek will be going to his or her first Cubs game this weekend! Momma will be going to her first Cubs game beer-less...it's sure to be a memorable first for everyone ;)

We have an appointment with Maternal Fetal Medicine early next week (hopefully our last stop there). We should be getting one last ultrasound, and one last peek at Mini-Meek before we meet in person!
